Definitions

In these terms and conditions of sales terms means 'Terms and Conditions of Sale' and 'goods' means goods and/or services.

Payment and Price

All prices are in £ sterling and are inclusive of VAT at the current rate unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change any advertised price before you place an order. Payments can be made by any major credit/debit card via our secure server, by e-mail, fax, telephone or post. Payments made on-line using our secure server are backed by our secure shopping guarantee.

Please note that all prices on mgdomestic.co.uk are for on-line purchases only and may not be matched at MG Domestic's retail store.

Prices are subject to change without notice.

 

Availability of Goods

All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If owing to non-availability of the goods, you will be offered an alternative or given a full refund at your request.

We at MG Domestic Appliance Specialists undertake that within 12 months of the date of purchase if your new appliance or any part thereof is proven to be defective by reason only of faulty workmanship or materials we will at our option repair or replace the same free of charge for labour, materials or carriage on condition that:

- the appliance has been correctly installed and used on the electricity supply stated on the rating plate.

- the appliance has been used for normal domestic purposes only unless sold and invoiced as a commercial product in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

- the appliance has not been serviced, maintained, repaired, taken apart or tampered with by persons not authorised by MG Domestic Appliance Specialists or the manufacturer.

- all service work under this guarantee must be undertaken by the manufacturer's service representative or our authorised agent.

- the guarantee is in addition to your statutory and other legal rights.

- Manufacturer's home visits, under guarantee, are made between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Visits may be available outside these hours subject to manufacturer’s availability.

 

Online and Phone Ordering Returns Policy

Unopened goods

MG Domestic will exchange or refund your purchase up to 28 days following the day of delivery, the item must be returned unopened and in its original packaging, complete with any free gifts or accessories provided

Distance Selling Regulations
If you open the goods to inspect them, you can cancel your purchase up to 7 working days following the day of delivery ("Working days" means all days other than Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays)
If cancelling your purchase under the Distance Selling Regulations, your product must be complete and in 'as new' condition. If you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product. The product must not have been used or installed or run through any set up mode. It should be returned where possible in the original box and packaging, along with any accessories you received with it. Any free gifts received with the product must also be returned.

To cancel your purchase
You must notify MG Domestic either in writing or by email of your intent to cancel. Your item must be returned to the MG Domestic showroom along with your receipt and bringing the card you paid with then we can credit it (MG Domestic are unable to credit any card other than the one the original order was placed on)
If you follow the above, MG Domestic will issue you with a full refund for the cost of the product. However we reserve the right to retain any charge paid for services which have already begun or been completed e.g. delivery, installation or uplift of an old unit. Refunds take 3-5 workings days to be credited to your card.
Whilst you are in possession of the goods you must take reasonable care of them and not use them
Should you wish for MG Domestic to collect your item you may incur a collection charge
We cannot cancel your purchase when:
You have chosen the Reserve and Collection option on our website
You return the product to the showroom without proof of purchase
Or if the item was a special order to your specification
For returns of items purchased in the showroom please refer to our in store returns procedure.

Within 15 Miles of Hyde £10.00

Between 15 to 25 Miles of Hyde £20.00

Over 25 Miles from Hyde £100.00

Returned Goods

Major Domestic Appliances/Special Orders

We reserve the right to levy a handling/ restocking charge on stock items of 20% and special order items of 30%.

 

Claims

No liability for any claim for:

(a) Damage in transit will be accepted unless we are notified within 48 hours from delivery.

(b) Non-delivery will be accepted unless we are notified within 10 working days from the expected delivery date.

(c) Shortages and incorrect goods supplied will be accepted unless we are notified within 48 hours from delivery.
